Tallulah Falls Preview
The Lady Indians enter the state meet with high hopes after winning their first region title in program history. Olivia Henderson was just a few seconds off her school record, coming in as the Region Runner-Up. Avery Keim and Naomi Russo finished third and fifth, respectively, while Mary Kate Ball (13th), Eliza Culp (20th), Meredith Orr (25th), and Emily Cai (30th) rounded out the TFS runners.
Running team averages across the 3A classification, Tallulah Falls falls anywhere from State Runner-Up to fifth-place based on average times for each runner. While that is the assumption, the team is taking nothing for granted as it aims for a podium finish. The girls finished seventh at state each of the past two years, which to date is a program-best.
The Indians came in fifth overall at region, missing out as a team on the state championship. However, Teagan Penland (4th) and Ryan Anderson (8th) qualified individually to travel to Macon. That ensures the Indians to be represented in a seventh straight season.
