MS Lady Indians secure first win of season on the road
Tallulah Falls opens with win at Stephens County
The MS Lady Indians opened the 2025 season at Stephens County on Monday night, securing a quick 2-0 win. The B-Team played and lost two sets as well.
Tallulah Falls won 25-17 in the opening set for the A-Team, while the second set was a 26-24 thriller. Isabella Watts had two kills and five aces, while Peyton Dodd had a run of seven at serve.
The B-Team dropped both sets by a 24-26 final. Ruby Shaw had six aces to pace the offense. Stella Hatcher also had a great performance at the serve line. Both Shaw and Hatcher had a run of nine at serve in their match.
"Coach Lindsay, Amy, and I are extremely proud of how hard both teams have worked," says coach Natasha McEntire. "We have a brand new A-Team with the exception of Watts. Out of our 20 players, seven played for the MS last season. So we are taking the time in practices to make sure to work with both teams so that we can ensure growth in skill and as a family/team unit. We count ourselves very blessed to be the coaches of such amazing young ladies."
The A-Team is 1-0, while the B-Team is 0-1.
