JV girls sweep through Lakeview, Trinity Classical
JV team wins pair of home matches in straight-set fashion
The JV volleyball team posted home wins against Lakeview and Trinity Classical on Thursday evening, winning both in straight sets. Tallulah Falls put its win streak up to three in the process.
vs Lakeview: W 2-0 (25-12, 25-18)
Despite having players sick and some a bit hurt, the Lady Indians reeled off a win in two sets against Lakeview. Finlee Ridlehoover had a big run at the serve line, recording three aces and finishing with five in the match. Her most important contribution came in her setting. Becca Roberts had four aces and two kills, while libero Nora Mitchell had two aces and a kill.
Her serve-receive helped the Lady Indians stay sharp on their defensive game, as Mitchell sacrificed her body on many plays to keep the ball from dropping. Azul Felder Terrados had three kills, and Madison Williams finished with two.
vs Trinity Classical: W 2-0 (25-8, 25-18)
The Lady Indians secured another quick victory over Trinity, winning 25-8, 25-18. Ridlehoover and Roberts got the team going in the right direction with strong serving. Roberts had five aces and Ridlehoover had four as well as a kill. Camryn Perry had four aces and a couple of monster kills. AnnaLee Wall had seven kills and three aces to highlight the match.
Terrados (two aces, three kills), Williams (four kills), and Mitchell (great selfless defense at libero) were all pivotal in the win. Tallulah Falls is now 8-3 on the season, and are 3-0 in region play.
