Tallulah Falls well-represented in All-Region honors
Quartet earns All-Region status along with coach Heyl
Tallulah Falls was well-represented with the announcement of the All-Region selections for volleyball. Four Lady Indians earned the honors, while coach Matt Heyl was named Coach of the Year.

Becca Heyl - SR OH
Rebecca Heyl earns All-Region status for the second time after earning the same recognition last year. The senior outside hitter leads TFS with 227 kills, is second in digs with 212, and fourth in aces with 42. Heyl has 576 kills in her career, which is 4th-most all-time. Her 732 digs also ranks fourth, while she's seventh in aces with 176. Heyl is the lone player from the 2022 State Championship team.
Margalida Amengual Sanchez - SR S
Margalida Amengual Sanchez earns All-Region honors from the setter position. The senior two-year starter at TFS has 740 assists, 3rd-most in a single season. Her 83 aces leads the team this season. She eclipsed 1,000 career assists recently, and now has 1,197 (3rd-most in program history). Her 170 career aces to date ranks eighth all-time. Sanchez was All-Region last year also.
Sofia Livianos - JR OH
Newcomer to TFS, Sofia Livianos, has made an immediate impact. The junior is second to Heyl on the team in kills with 225, and she's the leader for the Lady Indians in digs (246), third in aces (55), and has five blocks. She has been dominant as a hitter all season.
Corinne Swinton - SO MH
Corinne Swinton earns All-Region status in back-to-back years to start her high school career. The sophomore middle hitter ranks third on the team in kills (186), fourth in digs (122), second in aces (64), and first in blocks (28.5). She's not even done with her sophomore season, and is already ninth on the all-time kills list, top-15 in digs and aces, and fourth all-time in blocks.
Coach Matt Heyl
Head Coach Matt Heyl, in his eighth season, has reached a milestone with his 200th win at Tallulah Falls. He has taken the volleyball program to the ultimate high with a 2022 State Championship, and has gone 8-for-8 in getting the Lady Indians to the playoffs. Those trips include the '22 title, an Elite 8 in 2024, Sweet 16 finish in 2023, 2021, 2020, and 2018. Six times his teams have been state-ranked throughout the season, he has clinched three Area/Region Championships - 2025, 2023, 2022. His overall record stands at 210-115, and 41 of those victories have come against top-10 ranked opponents. He's a 4-time Area/Region Coach of the Year (each year from 2022-25).
