#4-ranked Lady Indians return to action with convincing win
TFS secures 3-0 win after week-long layoff
Back in action for the first time in over a week, the #4-ranked Lady Indians grabbed a quick 3-0 win on the road Monday at George Walton. TFS won convincingly, 25-24, 25-6, 25-9.
"From beginning to end, their plays were very consistent," says coach Matt Heyl. "Becca had a good night - some of the best passing we think she's had this season."
Rebecca Heyl had 11 kills and three aces, and Corinne Swinton added five blocks. The ball control was superb, and Sofia Livianos added nine kills and four aces.
Margalida Amengual Sanchez had some great assists to Heyl and Livianos, and Swinton led in communicating - calling out covers, opponent hitting positions, and got the team energized. The team serving was solid, and Shelby Whisnant led with seven aces and Sanchez had four.
"The ladies had a lot of fun tonight and set a great tone for this upcoming week," adds Heyl.
TFS advances to 22-8 overall and are a perfect 8-0 in region play.
