Lady Indians take split in Tuesday road tri-match
TFS beats Union before dropping 3-set rematch with Rabun Gap
Playing at Rabun Gap on Tuesday evening, the Lady Indians reeled off a quick win against Union County before dropping a 3-set rematch with the host school.
vs Union County: W 2-0
TFS came out focused and on fire against Union, claiming the match with a 25-16, 25-18 straight-set victory. Corinne Swinton had multiple kills, blocks, and around 10 aces in the match. Sofia Livianos brought the hammer to the match according to coaches, reeling off double-digit undefendable kills and nearly double-digit aces as well. The back row passing was super, giving setter Margalida Amengual Sanchez great opportunities to set her hitters.
The girls had some of the best coverage the coaches had seen this season, supporting their hitters and were scrappy at the net, not allowing anything to hit the floor.
vs Rabun Gap: L 1-2
Tallulah Falls dropped a tough contest in what was a rematch against Rabun Gap. The Lady Indians forced a third set, but lost 15-25, 25-22, 13-15. Freshman Emma Whisnant stepped up with some great digs in the second set.
Sanchez chased down a bunch of inaccurate passes to give the TFS hitters a chance.
The split pushes TFS to 7-3 overall on the season.
