Lady Indians edged out in first round of playoffs
TFS falls 5-3 at Mount de Sales
The Lady Indians traveled to Mount de Sales Academy for the first round of the GIAA state playoffs on Friday evening, dropping a 5-3 final.
After going down 3-0, the Lady Indians clawed back to a 3-3 tie. Goals came from Jocelyn Hall and LB Kafsky (two).
Mount de Sales scored twice more the rest of the way to seal the win.
"I'm proud of how we lost," says coach Erin Jimenez. "We understand that we aren't meant to win every game, and my girls fought tooth and nail every minute on the field. Coming back from down 3-0 is an incredible achievement that very few teams are capable of. Our girls gave their all tonight, and I am proud of the season they had. We are so excited to carry on this momentum into next season as we are only losing five seniors."
