Lady Indians grab first win to open region play
Kafsky scores twice as TFS wins first game
The Lady Indians (1-2) grabbed their first victory with a 3-2 final on Friday at Bethlehem Christian.
LB Kafsky scored in the first half as Marta Beltran assisted to put Tallulah ahead.
Kafsky netted another goal in the second half off a free kick. Beltran then scored off a Bailey Crumley corner kick for a 3-0 lead.
From there, Bethlehem Christian scored twice in the final 10 minutes. Cassidy Coles came up with a great save to secure the win with 10 seconds to go.
"I'm very proud of the girls tonight," says coach Erin Jimenez. "We stayed calm for the majority of the game. We were exhausted from our game on Tuesday, and yet we were still keeping possession most of the game."
