Lady Indians second, Indians third in West Hall Scrambles
TFS performs well at Wednesday match
The TFS golf teams played in the West Hall Scramble on Wednesday at Flowery Branch.
The Lady Indians finished in second while the Indians tied for third.
Maeve Hatcher and Handley James were even-par, placing second. Alex Rokasko and Kathi Ishaque teamed up for an 8th-place finish (20-over 93).
The boys had a combined score of 6-under, as Rylee Smith and Owen Earp carded a 68 (-4), good for 9th. Tate Turpin and Max Pulliam were 15th with a 2-under 70, and Kalvin Ngov and Wyatt Dorsey came in 33rd with a 12-over 84.
"The teams played well and competed," says coach CJ Stockel. "Attitude and effort is what we ask for. Today we saw it with all of our players. It was a battle down to the final holes for both the boys and girls teams. The biggest takeaway from this tournament is how well the teams competed."
"Competition on a high level is all we can ask for," adds assistant coach Brian Velasquez. "It was a great vibe today on the course with all of our players - seeing the smiles on both teams of girls was awesome."
