Lady Indians nearly pull off upset against Lakeview
TFS holds early lead against Lions
The Lady Indians (2-5) nearly came away with an upset of #2-ranked Lakeview on Friday at home, suffering a 60-52 loss.
TFS got off to a quick start, owning the first quarter to the tune of a 20-7 score. Both teams traded baskets throughout the second, but the gap remained the same with Tallulah up 33-20 heading into the locker room.
Lakeview outscored TFS 25-8 in the third quarter, which changed the momentum as the visitors were suddenly up 45-41 going into the final period. The Lady Indians had some big shots, but couldn't complete the comeback.
Klara Dvorakova had 11 points, while Marta Beltran and Lia Sanjur Santos each had nine. LB Kafsky chipped in with eight, Nora Mitchell and Linda White both had six, and Ines Gil rounded out the scoring with four points.
