MS track and field teams place second at Tri-State #2 meet
Indians, Lady Indians excel at Tri-State meet

The MS track and field teams both finished second at Rabun Gap in the Tri-State #2 meet on Wednesday.
For the boys, several earned a top-3 finish:
- Zachary Bonner - 1st in 100 MH, 1st in 300 MH, 1st in Long Jump
- Dylan Irvin - 1st in Shot Put, 1st in Discus, 2nd in 200
- Lincoln Penland - 2nd in 800, 3rd in 1600
- Kai Hanifan-Wagner - 2nd in 1600
- Luke Russo - 2nd in 300 MH
- Luke Sorrows - 2nd in Triple Jump
- Isaac Helgeland - 2nd in Discus
- 4x100 Relay - 2nd
- 4x400 Relay - 2nd
- 4x200 Relay - 3rd
The girls also had numerous events they placed in the top-3:
- Emily Papandreas - 1st in 300 MH, 1st in High Jump
- Fern Johnson - 1st in Triple Jump
- Naomi Russo - 2nd in 1600, 2nd in 800
- Sophie Christensen - 2nd in Shot Put, 2nd in Discus
- 4x400 Relay 'A' - 2nd
- Marylane Dickey - 3rd in 1600
- Evie Purcell - 3rd in 400
- Amy Edelheit - 3rd in High Jump
- 4x200 Relay - 3rd
- 4x100 Relay - 3rd
- 4x400 Relay 'B' - 3rd
