MS Indians get first win with dominant performance against Towns
TFS secures 11-1 final in Hiawassee
Tallulah Falls (1-4-1) dominated with an 11-1 mercy-rule win against Towns on Tuesday.
The game started off shaky, with TFS giving up a goal in the first few minutes. That goal was followed up with a flurry of goals by the Indians, who led 6-1 at the half.
Kai Hanifan-Wagner was the star of the show. He was responsible for the Indians' first four goals with one assist and three goals. He finished with four goals. Jetzon Maclin also had a hat trick with three goals.
Cole Arnold had two goals, while Halen Van Doornum and Matteus York each had a goal.
"After the match, I told the boys I had been hoping there would be a payoff for their hard work in training and recent matches, and it finally happened," adds coach Travis Mullis. "I appreciated how they showed respect for the game, making sure their teammates had touches on the ball. I also thought it was great that they all ran over to ring the bell, embracing the TFS Soccer winning tradition!"
