Maclin, Hanifan-Wagner both score twice as MS Indians play to tie
TFS earns 3-3 draw at Lakeview
The MS Indians tied with Lakeview in Gainesville on Thursday in a 3-3 final.
Near the end of the first half, Jetzon Maclin scored on a counterattack, as Kai Hanifan-Wagner assisted on the game's opening score. That held through the half.
In the second half, Lakeview had the equalizer before Karlo Pastor notched an assist to Hanifan-Wagner, as TFS (0-1-1) went ahead.
The Lions would continue to answer, and Maclin then scored on a 30-yard free kick over the keeper's head. With less than ten minutes remaining, Lakeview tied the game at three apiece.
"We executed how we prepared and I'm very happy about that," says coach Travis Mullis. "The boys, ranging from fifth to eighth grade, are learning to play together, and they're doing pretty well. We'll hope to keep the momentum tomorrow evening at Fulton Science Academy. Special shoutout to 7th-grade keeper Brantley Dill and 5th-grade striker Kai Hanifan-Wagner for their key plays in the match."
