Next Level: Petar Gromiko signs LOI with Andrew College
Senior All-Region selection puts pen to paper to compete in college
Recent 1st Team All-Region selection and Tallulah Falls captain Petar Gromiko has penned his letter of intent with Andrew College to pursue his academic and soccer career at the next level.
"It feels amazing to be able to play on the next level," says Petar. "This has been a dream of mine for long time, being able to get college education while still playing the sport I love. I can't wait to start my first college season in August!"
Gromiko (Belgrade, Serbia) has taken on many roles for Tallulah Falls this season, and has eight goals and seven assists to his credit. He was a 1st Team All-Region pick for his efforts.
Gromiko will join the Andrew College Fighting Tigers in Cuthbert, GA. Andrew College resides in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and are members of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
"Coach Learmond contacted me and presented a plan that they have," says Petar on why he picked Andrew. "I liked the fact that it is going to be a new group of guys that are ready to get better every day and compete. Also, I liked that the college is in Georgia, so I will stay relatively close to all of my friends from Tallulah."
Gromiko is the becomes the 13th soccer player from TFS all-time to play at the next level (9th boys player), and the 117th all-time next level athlete. He is the seventh overall athlete this school year to sign, and will be recognized along with all others from the 2025-26 academic year on May 21 at the Next Level Signing Ceremony.
"I would like to thank my parents for being my biggest supporters always. Also, for keeping me in line, even if that meant that we would get into a disagreement. I am really thankful for everything they did for me, and this wouldn't be possible without them. I would like to thank Coach Jeremy Stille as well for believing in me and giving me a chance to play and show what type of player I am."
