Indians roll up 12th straight win with blanking of Riverside
Gainzarain Hernando scores twice, while defense shuts down Eagles
Tallulah Falls, ranked #6 in the state, secured a 12th straight win with a 3-0 blanking of Riverside in Gainesville on Tuesday.
The Indians (12-1; 9-0 in region) got a pair of goals from Simon Gainzarain Hernando, while the defense locked it down to keep the Eagles off the board.
"It was a subdued performance, but the boys put in a shift and grinded out a win," says coach Jeremy Stille.
Alberto Battino and Lucas Woodland combined for the shutout, and neither was tested very much due to TFS controlling possession.
Ryan Kelsick scored off a rebound from Fabricio Turner Sandoval's shot. Gainzarain Hernando then scored two times. The first came before the half on a beautiful ball over the defensive line. The second came in the second half.
