Indians win seventh straight with third shutout
Seven different players score while TFS rolls to big region win
The #5-ranked Indians moved to 7-1 with an 8-0 shutout win over Athens Christian on the road Tuesday evening. The win was the seventh consecutive for TFS, which is now 4-0 in region.
The eight goals were scored by seven different players, including two by Versean Turnquest.
"The boys came out hard and moved the ball well in the first half," says coach Jeremy Stille. "The possession in the attacking half gave us plenty of opportunities, and we converted six chances in the first half to take a 6-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, we changed the team up a good bit and got everyone good minutes. We continued to maintain the majority of possession and converted a couple more chances without giving up too much to AC. We look forward to having our home crowd back behind us as we compete on Thursday against another region opponent in Lakeview."
The shutout was split between Alberto Battino and Lucas Woodland.
