Turnquest scores twice while defense staples down shutout win
TFS beats FSA in 2-0 final on the road
The Indians ran their win streak to three with a 2-0 shutout victory at Fulton Science Academy on Friday evening.
"The boys played really well on the tight field with very loud and vocal home and away supporters in attendance," says coach Jeremy Stille. "It was one of our most physical challenges this season, and they exceeded expectations."
Tallulah (3-1) limited FSA to just three shots on target. Versean Turnquest scored both goals for TFS, one being assisted by Fabricio Turner Sandoval.
Lucas Woodland and Alberto Battion split time in goal, combining for a clean sheet.
"Overall, it was a tremendous effort and high-intensity game," adds Stille. "A great GIAA test for us. Now our non-region schedule is over, and we head into our first region match next Friday against BCA."
