TFS secures match wins over Stephens County
Tallulah Falls got two wins over Stephens County on Thursday at The Orchard, as the Indians honored four seniors in the process.
The boys won 162-186, and the girls took an 84-101 win as well.
Kalvin Ngov, Tate Turpin, Rylee Smith, and Wyatt Dorsey all were recognized and got a ceremonial tee shot prior to the contest.
Ngov was the low medalist with a personal-best 38. Ryder Cantrell and Max Pulliam both carded a 40, Owen Earp had a 44, and Turpin and Jayden Hangbo 45 apiece. Emmit Likins (48), Dorsey (59), and Liam Burke (59) also competed for TFS.
The Lady Indians earned a 17-stroke win, as Maeve Hatcher and Handley James each turned in a 42, and Alex Rokasko shot a 53.
"I am so proud of Kalvin for his performance this afternoon," says coach CJ Stockel. "Kalvin saved his best for senior night. The girls had another great day as they prepared as a team for state in two weeks. Maeve and Handley continue to feed off each other and fine-tune their games."
