Indians post 11th-place finish at Mill Creek Classic
Rylee Smith paces TFS with 83
The Indians played in the Mill Creek Classic on Monday in an 18-hole tournament against 18 other high school programs, most from the Northeast Atlanta area.
"This provided a great opportunity for our boys to compete against some very strong programs," says coach CJ Stockel.
TFS posted an 11th-place finish out of 19 schools with a team score of 354.
Five golfers for Tallulah competed, with the top four scores counting. A total of 99 golfers played.
"I am proud of the resilience our players showed while facing tough situations throughout the round," adds Stockel. "This was the first time we have played at Hamilton Mill Golf & Country Club, a tight and hilly course where the ball can quickly roll into challenging positions."
Rylee Smith was the team low medalist with an 83, while Kalvin Ngov posted an 88 for a 44th-place finish.
Tate Turpin came in 48th with an 89, Ryder Cantrell posted a 59th-place 94, and Owen Earp was 74th with a 99.
