Pulliam is TFS low medalist at The Standard Club
TFS competes against Rivers Academy
The TFS golf teams played against Rivers Academy on Saturday at The Standard Club in Johns Creek.
"Unfortunately, daylight beat us, and not every group was able to complete 18 holes," says coach CJ Stockel. "Because of that, there was no official team score. Golf is a true reflection of life - have fun and get better every day. Today was one of those opportunities."
Max Pulliam was the Tallulah Falls low medalist with a 77 (17 holes), and also had the best shot of the day with a 40-yard hole-out on the sixth hole.
Rylee Smith had an 82 and Ryder Cantrell an 88 in a full 18. Owen Earp carded an 89 in 17 holes. Tate Turpin (84), Jayden Hangbo (89), and Liam Burke (107), and Emmitt Likins all completed 15.
Meanwhile, the Lady Indians were paced by Maeve Hatcher's 83 and Handley James' 98.
"What our players need to learn is that they are playing the course and themselves, not the other team. The other team is simply there to make the round official. However, when you compete against strong programs, you begin to see what is possible and what you can work toward in your own game. I have always believed, 'If you want to be the best, you have to play the best.' We will have two more opportunities to compete against Rivers Academy later this season."
