MS Indians pick up close win over Summit Charter
TFS wins 31-29 in Monday home contest
The MS Indians picked up a 31-29 win on Monday at home against visiting Summit Charter, holding a slim lead and holding on at the end.
It did take an early rally to pull ahead though, as Summit scored 12 in the opening quarter to the Indians' six. The home team outscored the visitors 11-4 in the second, as Javier Crespo hit a 3-pointer and Brantley Miller had five points in the frame, including one deep shot as well.
TFS (1-1) held a 17-16 lead going into the break, and Miller did the same in the third with five more points. He closed with a game-high 13 points. Branson Duncan had six, Evan Sims and Crespo each recorded four, and Dylan Irvin had two.
"It was a great team win," says coach Brian Long.
