NeSmith leads with 17 points as JV Indians beat Athens Christian
TFS secures 40-36 road win
The JV Indians won a road game, 40-36 on Tuesday at Athens Christian.
TFS (2-2) broke a 2-game losing skid with the victory.
Fenn NeSmith scored 17 points, while Lennon Magadia added a dozen. Tallulah had an 8-point lead in the second quarter that vanished, but the teams went into the half knotted at 22.
Athens Christian went up by as many as eight in the third, but TFS made a big push with four minutes left to catch up, and then eventually went ahead by one in the final minute of regulation.
Magadia hit one of two free throws to make it a 2-point lead, and he hit a pair of technical foul shots with three seconds on the clock.
Nedko Perchemliev added five, Joan Hernandez Espina four, and Emmanuel Heyl two in the win.
