Tallulah Falls well-represented on All-Region list
Indians put three on All-Region team, Lady Indians five
All-Region selections were made for basketball, as both the Indians and Lady Indians featured two players apiece to earn the honors. Three girls and one boy also grabbed Honorable Mention status.
For the Indians, Neyo Bain and Brian Neely were named All-Region, while Todor Stanimirovic was an Honorable Mention.
Bain, a senior from Abaco, Bahamas, just recorded his 1,000th career point in a win against George Walton in the Region Tournament Quarterfinals. He currently averages a team-high 14 points per game, and has 1,016 points (5th-most all-time), 335 rebounds, 237 assists (2nd-most), and 178 steals (2nd). He is averaging 4.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting nearly 53% from the floor.
Neely, a Nassau, Bahamas native, is enjoying a junior year in which he's averaging 8.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and nearly a steal per game. He has shot 54% overall, and now has over 400 career rebounds (top-10 all-time), and more than 600 points.
Stanimirovic, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, is third in scoring at 8.5 points per game, and leads with 6.2 rebounds and 0.6 blocks. He has a 42% field goal percentage and 32% from long range. He just surpassed 300 career rebounds, and is closing in on 500 career points. He is top-10 in all-time blocks with 24. This season, Stanimirovic had a 16-rebound performance.
The Lady Indians had both LB Kafsky and Klara Dvorakova on the All-Region team, while Lia Sanjur, Marta Beltran, and Nora Mitchell were named Honorable Mentions.
A junior from Clarkesville, Kafsky has been good for 9.5 points and a team-best 8.9 rebounds, adding 1.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game. She had a 17-rebound game last season in the Sweet 16, and has a 15-rebound performance against Bethlehem Christian recently. Her 161 rebounds in 2025-26 is the 10th-most in a single season for TFS. Kafsky is nearing 300 career rebounds.
Dvorakova is a junior from Prague, Czech Republic who is in her first season at Tallulah. The forward averages a team-high 12.4 points and is second in rebounds with 5.4. She also leads the team in blocks (0.8 per game), and has 2.3 steals and 1.6 assists per contest, all while shooting 52% from the floor.
Of the Honorable Mentions, senior Sanjur has an average of 7.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game. Her 58 assists this season is a career high and is nearing top-10 in the record books. Beltran (Madrid, Spain) has been a key part of the team in her sophomore season. The guard leads in 3-pointers (22) while averaging 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and a team-best 3.3 steals.
Mitchell is a freshman from Toccoa who has been a consistent starter for the Lady Indians. The guard averages 3.2 points and 1.8 rebounds along with 2.0 steals and 1.3 assists. Her defense has been exceptional, holding several big-time scorers to below their season averages.
