TFS makes valiant effort at Lakeview
Indians drop 58-49 contest against Lions
Tallulah Falls (9-9; 3-4 in region) dropped a road game on Thursday against Lakeview in a 58-49 final.
Lakeview jumped out to a 10-0 start before Todor Stanimirovic's 3-pointer ended the scoring drought.
In the second, TFS outscored the Lions 19-8 to take a 29-28 lead at the break. Joris Jarockis had an early triple in the quarter, and Marquis Rolle's bank shot made it a 2-point game. Neyo Bain had a 3-point play to get the slim lead.
The third quarter produced a lengthy drought that carried into the fourth for Tallulah, allowing Lakeview to roll ahead.
Stanimirovic drilled a long distance shot to pull close with about four minutes to go, but the Lions held on for the win.
Bain had 14 points to lead TFS, while Stanimirovic had 12 and Brian Neely nine. Judah McIntosh added five, Rolle four, Jarockis three, and Alberto Battino two.
