#2 Tallulah Falls roll past #4-ranked Lakeview
Huge first quarter puts TFS ahead from start to finish
The #2-ranked Indians (5-4; 1-1) snapped a 3-game slide with a 59-41 huge win against #4 Lakeview in a marquee matchup in Tallulah Falls on Friday night.
TFS stunned the visitors by holding them to zero first quarter points, while running up 15 of their own, including a shot from beyond the arc by Alberto Battino. Brian Neely and Neyo Bain each had four points in the quarter, while Battino had five.
The offense continued to play well in the second, as Tallulah Falls scored 20 against Lakeview's nine - leading to a 35-9 halftime lead. Todor Stanimirovic had seven points in the second frame.
Lakeview came out fired up in the second half, and made things interesting with a 17-5 quarter that made the game 40-26 heading into the final period. Bain then scored several buckets in the fourth to cast aside any notion of a Lakeview comeback.
Stanimirovic had a team-high 17, while Bain had ten. Battino and Neely recorded eight apiece, Marquis Rolle ended with six, Matus Zlocha and Louis Lenain both had three. Nestor Serrano Alfonso and Joris Jarockis chipped in with two apiece, as the Indians won their first region game.
