MS Indians sweep Rabun to open season
Indians win 7-3, 6-4 in opening action
The MS Indians (2-0) opened the season with a doubleheader sweep at Rabun County, taking game one 7-3 and game two 6-4.
Easton Pollock pitched a complete game in the opener, and was backed by plenty of run support. He himself drove in three runs, notching two hits and a run.
Brody Dampier had two hits and three runs scored, and had a double. Rhett Addison and Brayden Sosebee both had a hit apiece.
The Indians scored four in the opening inning and added two in the second. Pollock earned the win, giving up just one earned run on two hits and no walks, striking out eight.
In the second game, TFS scored a run in the opening frame, then broke a 1-1 tie in the third with four runs to back Dampier, who earned the win by going 4.1 innings and striking out 12 batters against just one hit and one earned run. He also had another two hits and three runs with another double.
Pollock had two hits, an RBI, and a run, while Addison had a double, RBI, and run scored. Miles Addison, Elliott Echols, and Jase Cox all had a hit each. Aiden Terrell recorded the save by striking out two with the bases loaded.
