Savage, Sands, and Roache lead TFS to comeback win
TFS storms back to win 9-7 road game
Jackson Savage and Sean Forbes had clutch seventh-inning hits to complete a 9-7 comeback win for the Indians at West Oak on Wednesday.
The Indians (13-14) had a 6-0 lead after scoring twice in the first inning and four more times in the third, only to see the Warriors score seven unanswered heading into the final stanza.
In the 4-run third, Jordan Miller had an RBI single before Ashton Roache doubled in another. With a tied game and one out in the seventh, Savage singled to right, which plated Roache. Forbes followed with a single to right to bring home Savage.
Miller had four hits, becoming just the fifth known TFS player to have a 4-hit game. He scored three times and drove in one. Savage had three hits, an RBI, and a run, while Roache had a hit, RBI, and three runs.
Roache also picked up the win in relief, pitching two scoreless innings while giving up just two hits and striking out one.
