Roache makes more history as Indians split double-header with Loganville Christian
TFS takes 10-9 win and 10-9 loss against #7 LCA
The Indians (9-13; 4-11 in region) hosted #7-ranked Loganville Christian, and won 10-9 in the opener and dropped the second 10-9 as well. Ashton Roache had another historic day, becoming the all-time RBI leader, surpassing Devon Mayfield ('10) with three RBI in the first game. He also eclipsed 100 career hits, and is the all-time leader already in that category. Finally, he had a pair of doubles to reach 11 on the year, a new single-season mark.
Game 1
TFS survived a tough fifth inning to squeeze out a 10-9 victory. Tallulah Falls went into the top of the fifth up 8-1, and finished the bottom of the inning only up 9-8.
They were able to contain Loganville the rest of the way to secure the one-run victory. Roache had fours runs, three hits, and three RBI. Jordan Miller finished with three runs, two hits, and an RBI.
Game 2
The first three innings were all Loganville as they took a commanding 5-0 lead. The Indians stormed back to tie the game 5–5 by the end of the fifth inning.
By the top of seventh, Loganville regained a comfortable gap and finished the game with a 10-9 lead to give TFS the loss. Drew Barron had three runs and two hits. Roache ended with one run and three hits.
