Indians suffer 3-game sweep against Athens Christian
Tallulah Falls drops all three in region matchup with Eagles
The Indians dropped all three in the region matchup this week against Athens Christian. TFS (7-10; 3-9 in region) lost the opener on Tuesday 9-5, then dropped both sides of a Thursday double header 10-0 and 6-5.
In the first game of the series, Alex Stafanovic took the loss on the mound. The Indians tallied six hits, including two each from Jordan Miller and Ashton Roache. Roache launched his 24th career double, giving him the all-time lead in that category. Leslie Sands and Sean Forbes also had a hit apiece.
The opening game of the Thursday twin-billing was a quick 10-0 loss for the Indians, who grabbed only four total hits.
The finale featured an early 2-run lead for Tallulah before the Eagles stormed back to tie it in the fourth. The Indians scored three in the sixth, but gave up four in the home half to secure the final.
Miller had two hits, while Sands had a hit and two RBI. Roache and Jackson Savage also recorded a hit each, and Drew Barron took the tough-luck loss despite giving up just two earned runs over five frames.
